Laura Brown Receives 2025 Wayne County MOST Community Champion Award

On October 8, 2025, Laura Brown was honored with the Wayne County MOST (Maximizing Out of School Time) Community Champion Award during the Wayne County Partnership meeting.
The Community Champion Award is presented annually to a person who has demonstrated exemplary efforts, service, and commitment to improving the lives of children and families in their community.
A long-time advocate for children and families in Wayne County, Laura has been instrumental in developing and supporting early childhood initiatives, including the Toddler and Infant Book Clubs, the re-establishment of the Early Childhood Workgroup of the Partnership, the Early Childhood Symposium, and Playdates held throughout the county. She is also an essential member of the Get Ready to Grow Team, providing screenings for preschool children, helping to ensure that every child enters kindergarten ready to learn and thrive.
Her dedication and leadership have strengthened early learning opportunities, fostered collaboration among community partners, and created lasting positive impacts for families across Wayne County.
