About the event
As part of National Preparedness Month 2024, Wayne County Public Health is offering Psychological First Aid training to interested individuals. This hybrid training will be held on Friday September 27th from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Just as everyone can benefit from learning basic medical first aid, all adults should train in Psychological First Aid as a way of strengthening their comfort and confidence when dealing with survivors of a disaster or other difficult experience, no matter what your professional role or education level may be. The more people who know how to incorporate Psychological First Aid elements into their interactions with the public, the stronger the community's response will be as a whole.
This 3 hours course is for the general public, school staff, professionals, faith leaders and anyone else who wants to be able to support their community with a disaster or other difficult experience.
