Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2 year’s related experience and/or training preferred.
Ability to work in a confidential environment.
Must be able to actively listen.
Assist youth in developing self-awareness, problem solving skills and breaking down larger goals into smaller steps.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Collaborate with Job Coach.
Communicate with Job Coach on daily basis to identify and reduce/remove barriers preventing youth’s success.
Assist Job Coach with maintaining communication with worksite supervisors to ensure fit for STEADY work placements.
Help facilitate growth through optimal placement.
Check in and debrief daily with youth scheduled to work.
Teaching youth new skills or guiding them to resources that will help teach them the skills that they would like to learn.
